CD Projekt RED managed to keep their word. The Polish team has in fact confirmed that the next-gen update of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will arrive on December 14, 2022 and will be free for all those who own the game on PC, PlayStation or Xbox.. The team had confirmed that the game would be out for this year but some feared there might be further delay. Fortunately, this will not be the case.
The update will be quite substantial and will not be limited only to the next-gen, but also to the previous generation. CD Projekt RED has indeed confirmed that several improvements will be made that will enrich the gaming experience on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Obviously, it goes without saying that we will see much more on next-gen.
Thanks to the power of the new game consoles and PCs, CD Projekt has been able to make many visual, performance and technical changes compared to the original game, in order to keep it in step with the times. Among the improvements listed by the team we find support for Ray Tracing, faster loading times on consoles and multiple mods that will be integrated into the gaming experience.
In both versions, i.e. old-gen and next-gen, There will also be additional content dedicated to The Witcher TV series on Netflixwhich we remember having been renewed for a fourth season and that saw the sudden change of protagonist. These contents will be unveiled next week, together with a first gameplay that will allow us to observe the changes made to the masterpiece signed by CD Projekt.
The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt – Complete Edition will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC.
