Activision and Infinity Ward have unveiled new information regarding Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, the second iteration of CoD’s hugely popular Battle Royale. In particular, Infinity Ward has confirmed that the DMZ mode will be available from the launch of the game, expected for November 16, 2022. To this are added new information relating to the weight of the title, apparently over 100GB.
As illustrated by Infinity Ward, DMZ mode will almost entirely draw on what we have seen in titles along the lines of Escape from Tarkov. The main goal of the game is not necessarily to kill everyone, rather complete the objectives and then complete the extraction from the map as soon as possible. During the game we will be able to collect various loots, be they weapons or valuables, to then take to our shelter.
Players will be catapulted into what will be called the Exclusion Zone. Here the players, either alone or in groups of 3, they will have to collect items here and there, complete optional missions and try to take everything home. If we are killed, everything we have collected will be lost. However, this modality is not refined, and for this reason the day one of Warzone 2 will also serve to test the interest of the players and, eventually, try to correct any errors. It will not be surprising if we find bugs of various kinds, therefore.
Unfortunately, you will need to make room on your SSDs. As revealed by the trusted Lumia Updates, the game will weigh over 115GB on Xbox Series X. It is not clear how much it will weigh on PC and PlayStation 5 but it is reasonable to expect a weight that is around this threshold.
In the meantime, let’s remember that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is already available on consoles and PC, and that we at Gametime have reviewed it in depth. Furthermore, the two games will be downloadable separately. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was capable of the best debut in the franchiseand if these are the conditions, it is reasonable to expect something even more sensational for Call of Duty Warzone 2.0.
