Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 he doesn’t seem to be doing very well, at least according to the rumors reported by one of the happy creators closest to the world of Activision’s shooter and Steam statistics. In fact, the number of players in the battle-royale is declining at a higher rate than expected.
To spread the alarm is Charlie Intel, known for its content related to the Call of Duty franchise and for the many recommendations offered to players. With a message posted on Twitter, the content creator reported some rumors regarding Warzone 2.0.
We’ve heard from many people that Warzone 2.0 player numbers are declining faster than expected. It is not clear what this means in terms of possible changes. Hope to get good updates soon!
The rumors mentioned by Charlie Intel would be reflected in the steam stats. Apparently, in fact, Warzone 2.0 has gone from 452,000 peak players in mid-November to 122,000 on January 11th. This is a very significant drop, which translated into percentage speaks of about 73% less.
These statistics obviously refer to the sole PC version, but there’s no reason to doubt that the situation could be similar on consoles. The future debut of the second season of the game will be able to rekindle the flame in the players, but to continue to grind important numbers Activision must commit to providing constant support and always new content.
Just a few days ago, for example, a move by the developers didn’t go down well with the community. The Shipment map, in fact, no longer has a dedicated playlist and this has infuriated users.
We’ve heard from multiple people that Warzone 2’s player count dropped over the break at a higher rate than expected. Unclear what it all means for what will change at this point. Hope we get some good updates soon! 🤞
