Valve will resume payments to developers from Russia and Ukraine in the near future, but not from Belarus

The company also explained why payments were suspended in the first place. As it turned out, the whole thing is in the intermediary bank. On March 18, developers from Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine reported that Valve had stopped making payments to them through Steam. As Valve explained, the reason was the new requirements of the bank with which the company works on an ongoing basis, which requested additional information for making transfers to users from Russia and Ukraine.

Valve was not ready for this and is now in the process of establishing an updated system, taking into account the new requirements of the bank. Apparently, payments to users from Russia and Ukraine will resume in the near future.

As for the developers from Belarus, the intermediary bank Valve decided to completely stop transactions in Belarus.
