The PowerWash Simulator gets a SpongeBob DLC

The PowerWash Simulator is without question one of the more bizarre games of recent years. Appropriately, a DLC that will be released in the summer has now been announced, which sends you and your high-pressure cleaner into the colorful world of Bikini Bottom from the popular TV series SpongeBob SquarePants. Unlike previous updates, however, the new package will not be free.

PowerWash Simulator x SpongeBob

The SpongeBob SquarePants Special Pack is scheduled for release in Summer 2023 for the PowerWash Simulator appear and costs €7.99. An exact date has not yet been announced and there is only a short teaser and a few screenshots. However, they already give a good foretaste of what fans of the yellow sponge can expect in summer. The models and environments to be cleaned are much more colorful and cartoon-like compared to anything seen before.

For the first time, the developers have also visually adjusted the player’s equipment. Pressure washers and Co. are kept in the same style and fit well into the overall picture. In addition to the houses of SpongeBob, Squidward and Patrick, the Krusty Krab is also brought into play as an environment. Overall, the campaign of the DLC extends over six completely new maps. So you can also clean the Bikini Bottom Bus, the Invisible Boatmobile, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy’s cave and more. Of course, iconic models such as the soap bubble stand, boat mobile or the burger convertible are also at the start.

It is currently unclear whether characters from the series will also have a small appearance. There are no innovations in terms of gameplay. Your task is also to use an arsenal of cleaning tools to completely remove dirt from an area and let it shine in new splendor. You’ll have to find out for yourself why your high-pressure cleaner works under water and why SpongeBob doesn’t act as a sponge when the SpongeBob SquarePants Special Pack for the PowerWash Simulator appears in summer.
