Since its announcement, The Callisto Protocol has never made any secret of its legami with the PUBG narrative universe (aka PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds). Now, however, Glen Schofield of Striking Distance, the studio that is developing this intriguing survival horror, has made it known that the game will be set in a completely original universe. Therefore, the ties with PUBG are in fact cut with which The Callisto Protocol will have nothing to do with.
“[The Callisto Protocol] was originally intended as part of the PUBG universe,” Schofield said. “However, over time it has become a work with its own personality.“
Finally, remember that the game by the author of Dead Space will be available by the end of the year on PC and console.
