Last day of November that opens the doors to December 2022. So let’s find out what they will be the best games releasing on PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch in the next month.
Usually the last month of the year doesn’t particularly stand out in the world of video games, except for the presence of The Game Awards. This year, however, the situation is completely different, in fact there are so many great games coming out in the next few weeks! And to these is added a very welcome return, updated in the next-gen version for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Before starting, we point out that The Game Awards will be held on the night of December 8-9with God of War Ragnarok and Elden Ring battling it out for Game of the Year.
Let’s go now to discover the best games coming out on PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, strictly in chronological order of release date and alphabetically. There is therefore no preference in how they will be presented to you. The month will start immediately with a bang, with three titles coming out on the same day, and all of them very good!
Marvel’s Midnight Suns – December 2, 2022
It begins on December 2 with three titles, the first (in alphabetical order) of the three is Marvel’s Midnight Suns. It is about thecross between the XCOM saga and Marvel comics. Developed by Fireaxis, just the same as XCOM, it combines the classic turn-based strategy dynamics of which they are masters with a slightly more casual component than ‘reshuffle the cards on the table a bit‘.
We have used this idiom not by chance, because in Marvel’s Midnight Suns there will be a deck building component, from which to draw the skills that we can use from time to time with the heroes deployed on the field. Cards that obviously can be upgraded to obtain additional effects.
The title is heavily inspired by comics. Hydra has managed to summon Lilith, the Mother of Demons and it will be the turn of Dr Strange, Iron Man and Scarlet Witch assemble a team of superheroes and specialize them in fighting the occult and demonic threats.
Need For Speed Unbound – December 2, 2022
It always continues in the same day with Need For Speed Unboundnew chapter of the saga developed by Criterion Games for Electronic Arts.
This game has the heavy task of having to bring the saga back into the hearts of fans, like in the days of Underground. At the moment, however, it has been somewhat criticized for its aesthetic aspect, which combines realistic graphics with cel shading and effects that recall the world of graffiti artists.
But ultimately the gameplay will decide the fate of this game. However, the developers promise that in Need For Speed Unbound there will be maximum possibility of customization and tuning of vehicles! A few days and we will find out everything.
The Callisto Protocol – December 2, 2022
Most likely The Callisto Protocol is the most anticipated title of the month of December 2022. It is a space horror particularly inspired by the Dead Space saga, it is no coincidence that it is developed by the team led by Glen Schofield, the creator of Dead Space.
Striking Distance Studios has really done a great job. Taking up all the canons of the series combined with a very high level of violence and horror settingsto such an extent that the Japanese certification body CERO was unable to rate the game.
We can’t wait to get our hands on it and strip it all the way!
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion – December 13, 2022
Small break of about ten days and we start again with Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion. It’s about the remake of the title of the same name released exclusively for the PlayStation Portable in 2007. This time, however, he will be able to enjoy all the graphic and visual quality inherited from the remake of Final Fantasy 7, thus proposing a spin-off that fans of the saga absolutely cannot miss!
High On Life – December 13, 2022
it will be up to High On Life, completely insane first-person shooter from the creators of Rick & Morty.
A peculiar feature of this game will be the weapons that will be alive and talkinga bit like the famous gun from the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
The developer has already shown us a full-bodied gameplay already this summer, and we have to confirm that everything around us will be something truly delirious. Another point in favor of High On Life is that it will be included on Xbox Game Pass starting from Day 1, both in the console version and in the PC version. Therefore you can take advantage of the service subscription at a 30% discount. As for the PlayStation version, it will only be available digitally, and therefore we suggest you buy it taking advantage of credit gift cards at a discounted price.
