Returning to its origins for the first time, a new 8×8 map will be available in the battle royale with the new update, known as Taego.

Taego has a varied terrain with many unique towns, resorts, and points of interest throughout the battlefield. Players will be lucky enough to encounter 473ur wild animals, with flocks of birds reacting to their movements and shots, giving you a potential sign of danger ahead.

This map will be playable in both TPP and FPP modes, with only Duos not available at launch, with up to 100 players, no red zones, and some unique mechanics that we’ll cover below.

Return BR and Self AED

Similar to the Gulag system implemented in Warzone, Taego will have a unique second chance mechanic, allowing players who die during the first phase of the Blue Zone a chance to return to the battle later in the match.

Instead, these fallen players will be sent to the Return Arena, where they will fight for survival and have the option to return to the battlefield on turn three, with no takedowns available. At least one squad member must be alive on the battlegrounds for their squadmates to remain eligible to enter Comeback BR.

On top of that, we have to highlight the introduction of the Self AED, a new world loot item that allows players to revive themselves when DBNOd, without the need for a teammate, and can be used in solo and team matches. .

The Self AED will only appear on Taego and provides a chance at redemption should you be eliminated alone, and salvation for your team if you find one, as holding the Self AED prevents your team from being eliminated right away.

Let’s move on to the next topics, the new weapons and the featured vehicle in this update.

New weapons and vehicle.

Let’s start by introducing the K2; a world-class 5.56mm AR popularized in the 1980s and 1990s, which the Taego is based on. The K2 has single, burst, or full 473matic modes, capable of bringing a lot of combat versatility, and will only be available on Taego.
