Rendering one of the most realistic digital models in real time on a PC with a GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card.
Yuna “CodeMiko” Kang showed off her Miko 3.0 avatar as part of a live broadcast on March 20. The digital model is rendered in real-time, conveying the movements of the girl, which are tracked through a variety of sensors. Among other things, the avatar accurately conveys the movements of CodeMiko’s arms, shoulders, and fingers.
Compared to the previous version, the updated digital model features increased resolution, skin detail, and improved facial animations. In addition, Miko 3.0 uses an improved hair rendering method that behaves more realistically, including responding to movement.
The CodeMiko development team created the Miko 3.0 avatar using Unreal Engine 5 and their own MikoVerse utility. Yuna Kang announced that those who wish will be able to access this software in order to create similar digital models in partnership with her.
CodeMiko also demonstrated a virtual environment in which her avatar can be located and interact with some interactive elements.
Like the previous version of the avatar, Miko 3.0 supports several scenes, including one for conducting interviews.
