Rumor: the next-gen version of The Witcher 3 has big problems – CDPR took the game from the Russian studio

The Witcher 3

CD Projekt RED has postponed the release of the next-generation version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, according to insiders. The St. Petersburg office of Saber Interactive worked on the remaster, however, due to the events in Ukraine, the contract was terminated with him, and demanded to transfer all the developments.

Prior to this, Saber Interactive released a Nintendo Switch port of The Wild Hunt.

CD Projekt RED has yet to comment, so for now, this statement is best treated as a rumor. Officially, the release of the updated version of The Witcher 3 is scheduled for the second quarter of 2022.

Recall that in early March, the Polish company stopped selling its games in the Russian region of Steam
