Activision and Infinity Ward have unveiled the release date of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 with a short teaser set in a port that illustrates the protagonists of the next chapter, including the beloved Soap. The new and highly anticipated chapter of the shooter series will see the light on October 28, 2022 on PC and Console.
The announcement had actually been in the air for a while. A couple of weeks ago, in fact, an insider anticipated that the game would be unveiled at the end of April. In the last few days, in Infinity Ward there has been a bit of movement, first with a teaser featuring Ghost and then with the logo and the official confirmation that the title will be called Call of Duty Modern Warfare II.
Unfortunately, many were expecting a real trailer captured in the engine, but for that it is clear that we will have to wait a few more days. Could it be the fateful 2 June, a date already mentioned by several insiders and insiders? Or will we see it during the Summer Game Fest? Maybe.
Recall that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will not only act as an official sequel to the Modern Warfare released in 2019, but also as a foundation on which Infinity Ward and Activision will then develop the next CoD Warzone, future battle royale of the series that will be redesigned entirely from scratch.
The game will also be the most advanced in the franchise’s historyActivision said in front of its investors. For the occasion, in fact, Infinity Ward has decided to use a renewed graphics engine and which should offer a very marked improvement compared to its predecessor, the unfortunate Call of Duty Vanguard.
