Sony Interactive Entertainment doesn’t seem intent on showing a PlayStation Showcase anytime soon. This is stated by the well-known insider AccountNGT, made very reliable in the past after having anticipated the announcement of Star Wars Eclipse by Quantic Dream. According to the source reported by the insider, in fact, Sony would not have any plans on this before September.
“The same source that revealed this to me (referring to inFamous) told me that there are no major presentation events scheduled for September”explains the well-known leaker on his Twitter profile.
Needless to say, this clashes a lot with what Jeff Grubb, a well-known VentureBeat journalist said a few days ago he reiterated with some optimism that Sony was ready to hold an event dedicated to the PlayStation world towards the beginning of Juneso as to also respond toXbox & Bethesda Showcase.
AccountNGT’s words, however not the first of the charlatans, however, they suggest that this event may not occur. Or at least, not in such a short time. However, this does not exclude the possibility that Sony may show a State of Play soon, especially in view of the release of God of War Ragnarok.
Very little has been shown of the title in question, after all. A strange practice, if we consider that the title is expected for 2022 on the PlayStation 5. In any case, what do you think? Tell us in the comments as always. In the meantime, we remind you that, according to the same source, Sony would be working on the return of inFamous and Sly Cooper.
