One Piece Odyssey is available today on consoles and PC

Bandai Namco has released One Piece Odyssey all over the world during this day, also publishing the inevitable launch trailer that reminds fans of Oda’s iconic manga that they can now jump headlong into a new adventure on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

This is a new typically Japanese RPG, with the plot that sees the Straw Hat crew shipwrecked on the legendary Waford Island with the Thousand Sunny following a terrible storm, which has now destroyed and almost sunk it.

And while exploring the island, Luffy and his friends come across ancient ruins, meeting Lim and Adio, two inhabitants of Waford, with the first taking away all their powers from the friendly crew. It is good to specify that One Piece Odyssey presents many new characters and monsters created directly by the father of the Japanese manga, Eiichiro Oda, complete with an original plot interconnected with the memories of their past adventures.

Being an RPG, players can control each member of the crew and exploit their unique abilities during exploration or directly in the combat system. In Odyssey, in fact, the famous pirates can defeat their enemies with some classic turn-based combat, characterized however by the presence of the Scramble Area Battle variant.

As revealed by Bandai Namco, this One Piece Odyssey exclusive system allows you to move through multiple combat zones to choose your best strategy. Meanwhile, the Spectacular Sequence system will ask players to take on some special battle conditions, rewarding them with more experience points upon completion.

We also point out that a free demo is already available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, which allows all players to try the first hours of the game directly by hand, also being able to transfer their save from the demo to the full game , without losing any progress made.
