next-gen patches for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X available for free today!

The Capcom Showcase has just ended and Resident Evil was certainly one of the undisputed protagonists of the evening, with many new features, starting with the Village DLC. A welcome surprise was the announcement of the next-gen patches for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X of Resident Evil 2, RE3 and RE7.

Shortly before the end of the event Capcom has been officially announced the next-gen updates of Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 7 remakes. This means that all owners of a next-gen console will be able to relive the terrifying adventures of Raccoon City and the Baker family in a completely improved guise.

The next-gen updates will be made available later today!

The update for the new consoles will indeed introduce 4K resolution, a higher frame rate, ray tracing supportand only on PlayStatoin 5 support for 3D and DualSense audio.

The next-gen upgrade is available completely free from this one moment: to download it, simply turn on your consoles and the download will start automatically. As for Xbox, thanks to Smart Delivery it will be enough to download the games and they will already be updated to the latest version.

The news of the update is not entirely new because in these days there were rumors about the system requirements of the three Capcom titles on Steam, as if to suggest the arrival of these new updates.

Definitely a great time for fans of this historic horror saga that between remakes, new games and additional content will keep players glued to the screen for many hours.

Precisely in this regard, we remind you that during the evening the highly anticipated Resident Evil 4 Remake returned to be seen, which in the video shown during the evening promises to be scarier than ever.

Also announced the release date of the multiplayer spin-off Resident Evil Re: verse, a competitive six-player multiplayer mode that will allow you to play well-known faces of the saga such as Chris and Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine, Leon Kennedy and Ada Wong. The game will be available starting October 28th

Before saying goodbye we leave you to the announcement trailer of the new updates!
