New Beta and Vault Edition details revealed

New details on the Beta and Vault Edition of the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 have been leaked

With sales of Call of Duty: Vanguard lower than what is foreseen by Sledghammer Gamesfor the next Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Activision is getting a good lead on promoting the game. The great revelations of Modern Warfare 2 started with a simple logo and now Activision has revealed the box art and release date of the game, which is the October 28, 2022. It is not clear when fans will be able to see the single-player sector of the game, but they can count on a Beta test period of the multiplayer mode and three editions to choose from for purchase.

Although they have not been officially announced by Activisionthree editions of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 leaked online thanks to files found in Call of Duty: Vanguard. As with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Vanguard, fans will be able to purchase a standard edition of the game or the Cross-Gen Bundle. There will also be one Vault Edition of the next chapter, with its contents that have also been shown online.

According to rumors, the Vault Edition will come with the former Battle Pass of the game, and will grant players 50 level jumps, a Red Team 141 Operator Pack which includes Operators Ghost, Soap, Price and Farah, the Cinder FJX Vault weapon, 10 hours of Double XP and Double XP for weapons, the Ghost Legacy Pack which comes with 12 operator skins and 10 weapon blueprints and early access to the Open Beta. Price information has not yet been disclosed.

Early access to the Open Beta will also be a boon to anyone who pre-orders the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 cross-gen package. Rumors indicate that the Modern Warfare 2 Beta will be made available first to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players, then those who play on PC and Xbox they will have to wait an undefined period of time to be able to try the game. Previous beta releases of Call of Duty were also initially exclusive to PlayStation gamers.

However, the new MW2 could be the last game in the saga that will benefit PlayStation owners.
