Supermassive Games has confirmed that Until Dawn’s spiritual sequel, The Quarry, will come out without multiplayer mode. Through a post on the social channels of 2K Games, in fact, the software house has clarified that the multiplayer mode of the game needs a little refinement and for this reason it will be released about a month after the launch of the game. However, the team decided to make up for it by showing a trailer dedicated to gameplay.
The Quarry, therefore, will not be postponed in any way. The game will be out in just over two weeks, with a date set for June 10th. The title, however, will only be provided with the local co-op mode and the Film mode, which will allow you to transform the story into a real feature film.
The multiplayer mode will instead be postponed to July 8 and will be added with an update. The intention of the team is, of course, to offer the best possible multiplayer experience and avoid any inconvenience. After all, just lately there are several cases of games having big problems right in the multiplayer mode.
“The wait is almost over, and both the team and I can’t wait to let you get your hands on The Quarry, in just 2 weeks. The game will be released on June 10 with local co-op mode and Movie mode, along with the single-player campaign. “explains The Quarry director Will Byles on behalf of Supermassive Games.
“That said, we made the difficult decision to postpone the release date of the multiplayer mode, in order to package the best experience possible. It’s not a long wait, however, as the multiplayer mode will be added via an update on July 8th “concludes the Director.
The Quarry will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X from June 10, 2022. The Digital version of the game will offer two versions, but cross-save between platforms, even from the same family, is not supported. Fortunately, cross-play is present instead. Here you will see the first 30 minutes of the game.
