Hogwarts Legacy: Harry Potter fans think they have figured out who the game’s villain is

Hogwarts Legacy

Harry Potter fans believe they have figured out who the Hogwarts Legacy villain is – here’s what was discovered.

Hogwarts Legacy has recently been introduced in an extensive way and we got to discover various details about the game, including the villain. Furthermore, Harry Potter fans think they understand who he is. Recall that the villain of Hogwarts Legacy is Victor Rookwood, which you can see in the image below. It is a dark wizard who has created an alliance with Ranrok and his group of rebel goblins. We haven’t seen too much of the character, but according to Harry Potter fans, he may be an ancestor of a Voldemort Death Eater.

Specifically, let’s talk about Augustus Rookwood. This man is named in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Talking about him is Igor Karkaroff, head of the Durmstrang institute during the fourth novel. In a flashback set during Voldemort’s reign of terror, Karkaroff – captured by the Ministry – tries to save himself by naming various Death Eaters, including Augustus Rookwood. The man will reappear in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Victor Rookwood, Hogwarts Legacy villain

Surname is rarely used casually, especially in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. According to fans, therefore, the Hogwarts Legacy villain is an ancestor of Augustus. Considering that the game is set a hundred years before the birth of the child who survived, it is credible that this reference does not have real weight, but is more than anything else a way to position the adventures of the game in the canon of Harry Potter…

We remind you that Hogwarts Legacy has an official release period. We can also see 35 very high-quality artwork images or, better yet, the 14-minute gameplay video.
