Here we are: after a long process of internal evaluation, the editorial staff has finally ratified the winners in the various categories of the TGM Awards 2022, including our GOTY. You will find all the titles in the rankings in the next issue of the magazine, TGM 396with lots of new details and deluxe layout đŸ™‚
The editorial staff of The Games Machine met in a plenary session to take a look at the twelve months that have just passed and take stock of the videogame year that is about to close. This is how we found ourselves choosing the best video games of 2022, appropriately divided into categories that reflect not only the main genres, but also some specific characteristics such as the soundtrack, storytelling or aesthetics. This year we have decided to introduce something new that we hope you will enjoy: the Retro TGM Champion, that is the recognition aimed at new video games and conversions for platforms with a few more years on their shoulders. Finally, among the TGM Awards, our game of the year could not be missing which certifies – according to the unquestionable judgment of the editorial staff – the best video game released in Anno Domini 2022.
