features of update 1.33.0

In recent months it seems that Blizzard Entertainment has begun a process of resurgence, Diablo Immortal is already available, World of Warcraft is preparing for the Dragonflight expansion, Overwatch 2 already has a date and Diablo IV will arrive during the first half of 2023. However, the company has pending accounts and one of them is to improve the state of Warcraft III: Reforged, which will soon receive a major update focused on adding features that the original title already had.

“It’s been a while since we’ve offered an update to Warcraft III: Reforged. Many players have asked us to make some of the features that were part of the original Warcraft III experience available, ”says the team responsible for the game. “Well, we’re excited to announce that the upcoming 1.33.0 patch will include Ranked Play, Player Profiles, Leaderboards, and more. […] We plan to continue working on several updates this year […]”.

Once patch 1.33.0 is implemented, Warcraft III: Reforged players will be able to choose between ranked and unranked matches. There will also be seasons and every time a season ends the ranking will be reset and players will be able to see their history through profile and rankings. Matchmaking Rating (MMR) is unique to each race, including Random, and players must play 5 placement matches per race to enter the ranks. Every time a ranked match is played, a screen will appear showing the change in MMR and ranking.

Warcraft III: Reforged ranks are as follows: Unranked, Combatant, Contender, Rival, Duelist, Elite, Gladiator, and Champion. On the other hand, and regarding the profile, it can be seen by right-clicking on the player icon in the lower right corner of the screen. You can also access the profile of other players. Finally, Blizzard Entertainment has commented that it will take advantage of the release of this update to make “numerous balance adjustments to various maps in the campaign.”
