Starship Troopers: Extermination has just been announced, a 12-player cooperative title that requires you to eliminate many insects
Inspired by the cult film by Paul Verhoeven of 1997, Starship Troopers: Extermination brings up to three squads of four players to the front lines of an Arachnid onslaught, challenging them to work together to complete objectives, acquire resources, build and defend their base of operations, and ultimately escape the extraction zone with their own skins.
In this title there are three classes to choose from: Assault, Support And Defence, each featuring their own unique weapons, gear, and perks. Additionally, this new cooperative game also features a base-building system that sees players use resources acquired from planetary refineries to build walls, towers, ammo stations, and various other amenities in an effort to gain the upper hand in battle against enemies.
All of this takes place on a “massive” five-zone map, known as Planet Valaka, where players are faced with ever-increasing swarms, marked at the start of Early Access on Steam by the following classes. Drone, Warrior, Gunner, Plasma Grenadier and Tiger Elite.
Unfortunately as of this writing there is no specific release date for yet Starship Troopers: Exterminationbut the launch on Steam is scheduled for 2023. Early Access is expected to last around a year, with the final release promising “more worlds,” as well as additional weapons and enemy types, class progression updates, community events, and new encounters.
