Death Stranding is the last work born from the imagination of Hideo Kojimafamous in the gaming field for being the mastermind behind the famous stealth saga Metal Gear. After a first landing on PlayStation 4the game also came out on PC and in one version Director’s Cut also on PlayStation 5. But it looks like a sequel is in development.
Norman Reedusinterpreter of the protagonist Sam Porter Bridgeshas in fact confirmed its participation in the second chapter in a recent interview. It seems, therefore, that one of the projects he is working on Hideo Kojima and his team is their own Death Stranding 2.
Death Stranding is in the early stages of development
The actor’s words regarding a possible sequel to the game were as follows: “We have just started the second”. He didn’t go too far, but took the opportunity to tell everyone how his collaboration with Hideo Kojima. Reedus in fact he stated that Guillermo del Toro had alerted him of a phone call he would receive from Hideo Kojima about a project he wanted to present to him and which he shouldn’t have refused for any reason. Reedus he was then convinced by the project presented to him, with the name of Silent Hillsand thus their collaboration was born that led him to be the protagonist of Death Stranding.
After this excursus on the beginning of the collaboration with the father of Metal Gear, Reedus spoke about Death Stranding and stated the following:
“It took me maybe two or three years to finish all the mocap sessions and all. It takes a lot of work. And then the game came out, and it won all these awards, and it was an amazing thing, so we’re just starting part two.“.
For the moment no further news has yet been released concerning a hypothetical new chapter, but according to the words of Reedus it would seem to be an official thing. For more information and any confirmations, we just have to wait for the Summer Game Fest scheduled for the next one May 24.
