Starship Troopers: Extermination was announced today by the developer Offworld Industries, it is a new Cooperative FPS which will see its debut on PC in early access on Steam in 2023. The title is inspired by a 1997 sci-fi cult film.
As a recruit in the Deep Space Vanguardspecial forces elite team within the mobile infantry, the end will be to exterminate all insects that are infesting the planet of Valakto put an end to the epidemic. 12 players divided into four teams will collect resources, build a base by establishing defenses and exterminate any insect that will get in the way of achieving their objectives. There will be three playable classes available from launch: Assault, Support And Defence, and there is a progression system with which new weapons, equipment and perks will gradually be unlocked for each class. We await more information from the developer, including the release date of the game.
