As reported by Tom Henderson, the developers at DICE have learned a lesson from the unsuccessful Battlefield 2042. The next part of the game is already in pre-production. Time of action: the modern world or the near future.
One of the sources said that some of the innovations from Battlefield 2042 may migrate to the next part. It is not yet known what it is about: maybe about cards for 128 people or specialists.
What the new Battlefield is unlikely to turn into is a “hero” shooter like Overwatch. According to sources, the developers wanted the operatives to supplant the class system, but this plan could change.
They didn’t forget about Battlefield 2042 itself either: four battle passes with new operatives and vehicles still have to be released for the game. Perhaps one of the updates will be added by the Russian S-70 Okhotnik UAV: not so long ago, one of the data miners discovered its traces.
