5 reasons to buy Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

In a few weeks, it will be time for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands release. Will you be diving directly into the Borderlands spin-off series from the release date on March 25? Here are five reasons to buy Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands!

1. A magical adventure

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands promises to take a completely new direction. Where the Borderlands games were crazy first-person shooters set on alien planets, that is not the case in the spin-off. This promises to be an adventure full of magic.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is set in a fantasy world where magic is very normal. You will also encounter enemies in the form of skeletons or, for example, a large dragon. The craziness doesn’t stop here, though, as the game is completely immersed in Tiny Tina’s fantasy. That promises to be a crazy time.

2. Borderlands with a touch of Dungeons & Dragons

That fantasy world doesn’t just exist. Bunkers and Badasses were introduced in Borderlands 2: Assault on Dragon’s Keep. It’s a kind of Dungeons & Dragons but in Borderlands style. Perhaps the biggest difference is that Tiny Tina is the Dungeon Master and determines how the game proceeds.

Set shortly after the Borderlands 2 DLC, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a brand new adventure set in a world created by Tiny Tina. The little, crazy heroine has figured out a completely new world, but you can expect a number of familiar faces in it. Brick and Torgue, for example, return, while characters like the Dragon Lord make their first appearance in this title.

3. Quality Cast

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

Speaking of characters, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has a spectacular cast. Plenty of big Hollywood stars lends their voices to the game. Andy Samberg, known from Brooklyn Nine-Nine, plays a role in the game. He plays the character, Captain Valentine.

Will Arnett also lends his voice. He voices the Dragon Lord, the great villain of the fantasy game. Of course, Ashly Burch also returns for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. The actress who also voices Aloy from Horizon Forbidden West has played the role of Tiny Tina for years and that is no different here.

4. Magic and Melee

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands does in some areas a bit different from the Borderlands games in terms of gameplay. Magic plays a major role and will replace your grenades as a mechanic. In the game, you get access to a variety of spells with relatively short cooldowns that literally and figuratively set enemies on fire.

The spells are therefore easy to compare with active mini-skills, but it doesn’t stop there. Melee weapons are a new addition to Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, meaning that for the first time in the series’ history, you can smash enemies up close with cool weapons. Shooting irons and magic will play a bigger role of course, but you should not underestimate the addition of course.

5. Co-op fun for 4 players

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

Of course, there is one other feature that should not be missing in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. Of course, we mean the co-op function. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands can be played with four players via co-op. You can do this locally, but also online.

On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, up to four players can play the game locally via split-screen co-op. On PS4 and Xbox One, this is possible with two players, but you can still expand online to a group of four heroes who have to defeat the Dragon Lord. The co-op system is comparable to that of Borderlands 3 and that is immediately a big advantage. The third part brought much quality of life improvements, such as individual loot for each player.
